Our Termite Control

Ballarat Termite Pest Control

Common Signs of a Termite Infestation

Termite activity is often difficult to detect, as termites typically operate out of sight within walls, floors, and structural timber. In many cases, damage is already present by the time termites are discovered.

Common signs of a termite infestation include mud tubes along walls, foundations, or piers, hollow-sounding or damaged timber, sagging floors or doors that suddenly become difficult to open or close, and discarded wings near windows or light sources.

Because termites can cause significant structural damage before becoming visible, early detection and professional inspection are critical. If there is any suspicion of termite activity, prompt assessment is strongly recommended.

Why DIY Termite Control Is Ineffective

DIY termite treatments, including sprays, foams, and home remedies, are not designed to eliminate a termite colony. These products may kill termites on contact but do not reach the nest or address the full extent of the infestation.

Incorrect treatment can also cause termites to alter their foraging patterns, making the problem harder to detect and control. In some cases, DIY attempts can delay proper treatment, increasing the risk of serious and costly damage.

Professional termite control involves thorough inspection, accurate identification, and the use of industry-approved treatment systems designed to manage colonies and protect the structure over the long term. This approach provides significantly greater protection than surface-level treatments.
